How much is a First Choice deposit?
You are able to pay a deposit to secure your holiday unless you’re booking within 12 weeks of the departure date (and if this is the case, you’ll need to pay the whole thing in one go). The amount you’ll pay for your deposit will be per person and entirely depends on the overall cost of the trip that you’ve decided to book. The amount will be broken down for you at checkout.
When do I have to pay for my First Choice holiday?
If you’ve booked and secured your holiday with a deposit, you’ll need to pay the outstanding balance 12 weeks before you travel. Payment can be made by logging in online, or by calling customer services on 0203 451 2688.
Can I change my holiday destination at First Choice?
Amendments to your booking can certainly be made, but it all depends on when you make these changes in relation to your departure date. Charges usually apply, and a breakdown of these costs (and further information) can be found in the terms and conditions.

Low Deposit FAQs

How do low deposits work?
Through First Choice, you can secure holidays with deposits of as little as £75.00 per person. They’re designed to offer you greater flexibility when booking and to help spread the cost of a holiday that might otherwise be unaffordable. You’ll be shown a deposit breakdown before you confirm your booking, meaning you can be fully prepared when the following payment amount is due.
Can I book a long-haul holiday with a low deposit?
Yes, you can - low deposits aren’t just restricted to short-haul holidays! That being said, the price brackets change ever so slightly. For short or mid-haul holidays, deposits start from as low as £75.00 per person; for long-haul holidays,, deposits start at £125.00 per person (or £300.00 per family).
How far in advance must I book a holiday with a low deposit?
Deposits aren’t available for holidays that have a departure date within 12 weeks of placing a booking. Beyond this, you can take advantage of low deposits (on eligible holidays).
When must I pay off the remainder of my holiday?
Low deposits are split into two payments - you pay 70% of the deposit upfront before paying the remainder eight weeks later. Once the deposit has been paid off, you can arrange payment for the remaining outstanding holiday amount. A full price breakdown will be provided so you’ll know what to pay and when.
Can I cancel my low-deposit holiday?
Yes, you can. However, if you book using the low deposit scheme and then cancel your holiday, you must pay the total deposit price and incur additional cancellation fees.
Are low deposit holidays ATOL protected?
Yes, all flights and flight-inclusive holidays on the low deposit scheme are ATOL-protected. Once you’ve made your booking, you’ll receive an ATOL certificate.
